From prison cells to pulpits

Developing leaders is a vital part of Community Bible Study, so Pastor McDonald is always on the lookout for who God might have His hand on, even if they’re in prison.

He is the CBS National Coordinator for Malawi, where he leads a thriving prison ministry.

He recognized the potential in four freed CBS prison class participants and invited them to his home for three days of further training in leadership and in-depth Bible study methods.

Today they have all been ordained by their churches after completing a one-year pastoral certificate program. They are pastors in different denominations caring for their people and flooding their communities with the study of God’s Word.

Pastor McDonald said, “I personally visited them in their congregations, and God is using them mightily. God is on the move in Malawi!”
